This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Ok so just talking with a good friend of mine and we brought up good movies. More specifically, horror movies. Why is the trend now to show people getting tortured and ripped apart? When you watch a movie like that ask yourself, does it really scare you? or does it just make you unconfortable? Perhaps the concept of being kidnapped and tortured is scary but actually watching the torture isn't really scary. Whatever happened to letting the viewers imagination do all the work and if left to do so it does a surprisingly good job. Here's an example, you see a scene of a room that's dimly lit and in it are tables covered in torture devices and tools and blood stains all over the place, perhaps an arm here or a leg there (keeping it subtle of course)that to me leaves me wondering wow what the hell happened here and the notion of not knowing what exactly happened is terrifying to me than seeing that same scene only the difference is you are watching what is happening to the poor victim. I read alot of horror graphic novels and I love them because they are on paper they can't show the whole scene in action so they do what I think movies should do and they show the before and after of these terrible scenes but they never show the during. That's why they work, sure every now and then watching a monster take someone down is fine but if an entire movie consists of that it looses its scariness quickly. I don't know I just hate how crappy movies have been lately and don't even get me started on the new kids movies these days "Genetically Altered FBI Hamsters" talk about lame and if I were a kid I would never want to go see that movie. Haha anyways my rant is over now I guess and please keep in mind these are just my opinions obviously people differ and whatever that's all fine and dandy but being a Horror Genre fanatic as I am I just feel that we are due for a serious overhaul in the movie industry for good horror movies. That's all I have to say on that...
hey, sorry it's taken me so long to respond. So Image...I don't really have much to say about them. The story goes like this...I was at the NYComiCon and talked to Erik Larson. He told me to email him...I did...he mailed me the 8 page Superpatriot story. I didn't get paid...it was just a chance to get published, so obviously I did it. I did the pages in about a week, mailed them off, and once it was published they sent me like 12 comics or so. As far as the "blacks" in my illustrations...I know it as "spotting blacks". Where you spot the blacks can obviously help with contrast and composition
